Chris Marchetti, Excel Courier CEO, discusses the Washington Business Journal article written by Tristan Navera, Greater Washington’s warehouses have some of the fastest rising rents in the world, to address the complex cloud of the real estate cost that is looming in this region.
According to the article, the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, M.D. metro areas have seen “rents on logistics real estate rise 23.5% in 2021, the fourth-fastest in the world”. Boundaries are being pushed and the logistics industry is certainly in the middle of an era of supply chain challenges.
Chris asks those researching for warehouse space to please consider that, “ warehouse space is very expensive in this market and is very hard to come by.” This is whether you’re looking into using a provider that has existing space or looking to lease your own. Watch the video to learn more.
